Today the Warrior Princesses finished the biography of Josephine Baker. It took 7 months, but who is counting. They took their time taking turns reading the pages of each chapter. From what I gather when listening to their "sister-time" conversations, I believe that Josephine's rise from poverty to stardom to poverty, spy work for the French, Rainbow Tribe, marriages, position in the Civil Rights Movement, fight against discrimination, and close relationships with dignitaries and world leaders, will always be remembered by the Warrior Princesses.
Other inspirational women read about today:
Annie Malone. Before Sarah Breedlove (aka Madame CJ Walker), there was hair extraordinaire Annie Malone. A true entrepreneur and inventor of the hot comb, Annie started her business by going door-to-door to sell her product (Poro). Next she opened the first "black" cosmetology school in America. Annie Malone soon had 200 employees under her wing. Read more about Annie's life, her school's curriculum, and why her business failed here.
Dr. Lenora Fulani. Lenora was the first "black" woman officially qualified to run for President of the United States of America in the years 1988 and 1992. Read more about Dr. Lenora Fulani here.
